Welcome to my portfolio site! I had the opportunity to create this site as part of my LIS 60280 Master's Portfolio class through Kent State University. This demonstrates who I am, my goals, and how I am working to accomplish them. Check out this page to learn about me and to read a brief summary of the classes I took in my MLIS program. I have included samples of my work as well as some information about myself, dispersed through this site. Use the menu bar to navigate through the different things I have included. Thank you for taking the time to look at my portfolio!

About Me

I'm Tara Humphrey and I have loved the library my whole life. When I was younger, I developed a love of learning, and the library helped me feed that desire to know more about all the different things that interested me. As I grew up, I decided that I wanted to help others feed their passions as well, and opted to pursue a degree in Library and Information Science. I focused primarily on public libraries, and a bit on academic libraries. I graduated with my MLIS degree from Kent State University in May, 2021.

Beyond school, I also like to read nonfiction or teen books. Some of my favorite books include the Infernal Devices series (Cassandra Clare), Peter Pan (J. M. Barrie), and Vampire Forensics (Mark Collins Jenkins). I'm currently working on reading The Crown of Guilded Bones by Jennifer Armentrout.
